I thought maybe the jewelry box belonged to Snow. Could have been a present from her dad. My 12 year old thinks maybe the heart belongs to Snow’s dad & Regina put it in there after the Genie killed him.

Most of the Fairy Tale Land objects that have passed over to the real world were found underground or in Mr. Gold’s pawnshop. Ruby found the box underground.
If the prints are Snow White’s rather than Mary Margaret’s (which would match either way) then there’s a probability that this particular incident ties directly to the reason why Queen Regina hates Snow.

You can tell very well that she did not kill Kathyrn. Mary Margret has a kind soul . Could you really been seeing her doing anything like that ? It is totally obvious that Regina framed her. Love Emma but I can’t believe that even she was too blind to see it. I can not explain the finger prints but I do strongly believe that it wasn’t Mary. Ah ! Snow White becoming evil ? It can’t be possible ! I only got to see the last 45 minutes of it. But it was good enough information that I needed to know. Love it ! I get excited every time Sunday comes around !

But wow, I’m with Jeff for once. The box looked like jewelry box and had a golden emblem on the top. The heart boxes Regina had in Ep 7. were a treasure chest shape, golden with a smooth curled top. This box had a flat top. They didn’t appear the same shape, size, color or anything. I was guessing maybe the jewelry box belongs to Mary Margaret (maybe Regina stole it (or had it stolen) from her and had the heart put in it.)
