If you could bring back Neal into the OUAT Storyline, how would you do it?

We all miss those who are gone from Once Upon a Time, but Neal is someone we wished would have stayed longer.

Once-Upon-a-Time-Neal-Cassidy

We know the writers of OUAT have made their decision as far as the canon story goes, but what if they handed you a pen and said “You bring back Neal into Once Upon a Time…”

So

If you could bring back Neal into the OUAT Storyline, how would you do it?

Right now would be a perfect time to bring back Baelfire/Neal but only in flashbacks to fill in once and for all the time gaps we have for him. Robert Carlyle/Rumpel looks like his character is headed out the door. What better way to send off Rumpel than with Neal returning in spirit form to fill in those gaps as Rumpel experiences his last days and begins to rapidly recover his true age of being centuries old, now that he is no longer the Dark One. Rumpel, with only hours left, reflects on his life and how he lost Bae’ as Bae’ returns and can only be seen by Rumpel. Bae’ takes Rumple back to 1983 and his arrival into our world from Neverland at 14+. He shows him how he survived for the next 17 years til he meets a young Emma in Oregon 2001. He shows him where he was and what he was doing for the remaining 11 years, until their reuniting in Manhattan, New York in 2012. Then Bae shows Rumpel what would have happened had he taken the path not traveled. How he returned from the Ogre’s war a hero and not a maimed coward. How Rumpel would become a knight, live in his own castle and die a natural death with the everlasting admiration of Milah and his son. Rumpel then dies smiling and walks away in spirit form with Baelfire at his side.(fade to bright white). A&E could use this episode to tie up ALL loose ends and questions once and for all…… That’s how I would do it.
