So, we know she “wished upon a star” on her 28th birthday:
Them we see her keychain, and the Sheriff’s badge (star) (remember, she is wearing the Deputy star):

HEY JEFF!!
I need your help, bud….. I think we may have been givin our first look at the only admission of time or season in Storybrooke yet! I need a “screen cap” of the newspaper shot with Emma’s mugshot that Henry was reading. To the right of Emma’s story is a smaller entry reading something like “Pumpkin Weekends -or- Week ends at Storybrooke Farm are-or-is Seasonal Treat for the Entire Family” which in our time puts them back at the end of October of last year(Halloween). In 2011 it fell on a Monday putting celebrations back to that weekend…. as the story in the paper states. Giving us a time reference as to where they are in the year…. complete with a picture of a Jack-o-Lantern! Appreciate it Jeff! THANKS!
Just been thinking about Emma and when she was transported out in the wardrobe just before the evil queen showed up. Emma was born moments before and the only people that new her name was Snow, Prince Charming and Rumple. Since both Snow and Charming did not accompany her to Storybrook and was as far as we know, left on the side of a road to be found, how and why would she be named Emma by whomever found her? I don’t believe anything that was sent with her had a name on it. Just a crazy thought, since I think Rumple knows what’s going on, he transported and was the one to find and name her while being able to keep tabs on her or some type of control so as to know who she was when she returned. Also, since Rumple procured Henry for Regina, that’s another reason I feel he did this so he could make sure Emma would have the connection to Storybrook through Henry. One more thing, I wouldn’t be surprised if Rumple was the one who somehow got the book of fairy tales to Henry to get this whole ball rolling. Thanks for reading my babble and love the podcast, It keeps me going on my long train rides home from work in Chicago….this was written on the train.

Correct as Oncer Dpty Bob pointed out, the name Emma was nitted on her blanket, but if this was the true intent for the drastic pace at which Granny was nitting that bad boy, how did Granny know the plan before the Blue Fairy got there? Wasn’t she already frantically knitting away BEFORE the “Blue Fairy” busted in on the War Council meeting with the Enchanted Tree trunk and the idea!? I’ll have to go back and check… As for Rumple’ and I also believe Regina/EQ, have the ability to leave and return to Storybrooke as they wish. Rumple’ procured Henry for Regina to assure that Emma finds her way to Storybrooke, that,we know. So that would mean Rumple’/Mr.Gold had to have kept tabs on not only Emma”s where abouts but also her personal situations as he was in wait for Emma’s pregnancy and birth of Henry…. or like you said, The ball would have never started rolling. As for babble, We love babble….. babble away! Nobody babbles more than me! 8^}
@Bill… Not even! bro! except for the missed clue (Emma’s name) you’re right on track! Rumple’ runs this show and I’m right with you on the Fairytale book as well. Not only angled that book through MM to get it to Henry, but wrote and illustrated it there in Storybrooke! Regina killed and burried her father in the ground (remember headstone) back in FairyTaleLand. Henry’s book contained illustrations of Regina’s mausoleum/crypt with the symbol that Sherrif Graham kept seeing in his dreams about where his heart was kept….. That’s all in Storybrooke! not FTLnd and no way would Regina write that book, so that leaves only one guy we know! Sir Rumple’……. so you’re right on it – Keep! Going!
