OUAT – My Storybrooke Wraith Problem

Ok, so if this was just a CGI “slip up” or “the Talisman was hidden behind the folds of the Wraith’s snappy purple number” then fine, but based on what I saw, we have a problem.

So, here is the Wraith coming out of the hold in Fairy Tale Land, which for a moment you may have thought there were lots of Wraiths, but for the time being, let’s go with there was only one Wraith.

Wraith in FTL with a Talisman

Phillip knocks off Talisman. My guess is that the Wraith continues to follow its original target (Regina) until another is sensed. So, for now the Wraith is like a tourist in New York without a GPS or map.

Phillip is being marked. Wraith GPS now has a new destination. “Calculating”

Mr. Gold with his pretty Talisman. How many of these are floating around?

Storybrooke forest Wraith (with Talisman). “Wraith – Regina – fetch”

Wraith is Sheriff’s Office – No Talisman.

Next shot, no Talisman.

Next shot. No Talisman.

Next shot – wait for it – No Talisman.

Wraith taking one to the face with a “Snow Torch” (patent pending). Still no Talisman.

Wraith in the new Mayoral meeting area we haven’t seen before. Did the Wraith Dry Cleaners lose the Talisman. Just checking.

Wraith finding Phillip. We are okay with no Talisman, because Phillip knocked it off.

Mayoral Meeting room Wraith. No Talisman.

Just for fun: Do Wraith’s that are passing through a Magic Hat develop Poltergeist ghost arms to grab cute blonde victims to pull through? Just wondering.

Well, that’s all I got. So, if someone can help me figure out where the Talisman on the Storybrooke Wraith went, I can sleep at night. You all rock. #BigLove2U 🙂

Ok, basically I am taking it on faith, that the talisman vanished when Regina was marked and talisman was activated. It became part of the wraith. But when he crossed over realms, he no longer had a target. So the talisman reappeared. That is how Phillip cut it off and marked himself (IDIOT! Never touch anything in FTL that you have never seen before!!).

And his arm was always there, his sleeves were just too long to see them while he was floating.

YUP!…. Having my own problems with that as well. Not to mention that Phillip didn’t take his swing at the wraith till after that wraith fell through the Hat and went back in time WITH Emma & Snow as they were still burried under the rubble that the wraith made as it smashed through the ground. Those events shown out of sequence again like season 1. But, if the wraith fell through the Hat WITHOUT the talisman how did it come through the other side with the talisman??
Having lots of problems with Mulan’s explanation of what happened too!
If the Curse didn’t touch them, then they shouldn’t have been frozen in time for 28 years. Secondly, if they were frozen for 28 years….. how did they know it was for 28 years??

Oh Yeah,…..One more question about the Hat.
If they fell through the Hat…… wouldn’t they just have fallen into the “Door Room” in the Hat FIRST? How did they bypass the choice of doors that the Hat provides? OR… because of the Dark Curse,…. are all those doors now gone? leaving only one place to go!…… the only relm left! That part of FTL that Emma, Snow, Phillip , Mulan and Aurora were left behind in? Which would explain the direct path that the wraith, Emma and Snow took through the Hat to FTL….”?”

Well… when Regina pushed Cora (naturally–using the force) into the “Looking Glass” I doubt Cora went to the “Door Room”… that portal was a direct link I guess, esp since Rumple chose the destination… but Thee Hat is supposed to go to the “Door Room” so I see your point. Maybe Regina/Emma were able to connect to FTL directly?

Good question, Manny. I’ll think on it more. Oh and if 2 ppl go through the hat… 2 ppl have to come back? Or is that invalid due to the ruined state of the hat?

And how can Jefferson help? Henry prolly gained an ally after the tearful reunion. I have a feeling that Jefferson will come around (despite his past dealings and mistrust with a royal) and be an important asset to Storybrooke. Just a feeling. Things have got to start getting better for that guy!

      Hey Cathy!

I think we’re forgetting that there is “another” Hat! Made by the magical hands of Emma!
And if I remember correctly, Emma and MM took it with them when they left Jefferson’s.
I think we’ll be seeing August/Pinocchio very soon as he is the only one, besides Emma, that knows where that tree that they entered our world through is located. And Charming is looking for that tree right about now.

I’m still having major issues with the existance of FairyTaleLand in the present day as the writers suggested….
We already know where present day FTL is….. It’s Storybrooke! Is it not? The Wells, the mines, ect.?….
And if Emma and Snow went to a time where Lancelot and Cora still exist! Then we have to assume that Emma, Snow and the Wraith travled back *centuries* in time to when they lived, but…. 28 years after Regina cast the Dark Curse.

So when the writers flashed the “Present Day” subtitle on the screen, they were referring to present day>>>>however many centuries ago!
Which suggests exactly what I had assumed back in season one! That not only is Storybrooke parralleling us from 1984 on the same calendar, but that the events in FTL WERE paralleling us on the same calencar as well, only from their year and century…… Ha! ;^)P
