Once Upon a Time, Season 6 is about to open a new storybook featuring plenty of unexplored tales. Here are our reading recommendations!
Summer is coming to an end and with it goes the free hours we have to read and binge all those shows we promised we’d eventually watch. In the final few weeks before Once Upon a Time season 6 premieres, check out a few of the untold stories the series may explore.
Our guide includes titles that explore the story of some familiar characters, new additions to the group, and a few stories that we think will be tackled in the coming months.
‘A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court’
Written by: Mark Twain
How it relates: Violet, Henry’s Camelot girlfriend, or at the very least his only friend who happens to be a girl, revealed at the close of season 5 that her father was not from Camelot but from a little place called Connecticut. The detail may exist merely as a passing nod to Twain’s work seeing as the Camelot storyline has come and gone, but since Violet remains in season 6, a little background on her father might be helpful!
Season 6 of Once Upon A Time starts back up on ABC in America on September 25th and for some Netflix regions, that’ll mark the date when you start getting brand new episodes too as we’ll reveal below. The fantasy drama series is back for another season after viewers tune in every year to get the latest on the fan-favorite series. We’re back again too with all the release date information for the new season.
If you’re not familiar with Once Upon A Time, let’s fill you in. With ABC’s parent company, Disney, owning the licenses to some classic princess and animated classics, they figured it was about time they were put into the real world with a much darker tone than that of their animation cousins. It’s led to an instantly recognisable storyline with your childhood classics brought into the modern world. It stars House’s, Jennifer Morrison alongside villain Lana Parilla and many others all reprising classic Disney roles.
The Once Upon a Time actress explained what happened via Twitter, and people are definitely listening — including American Airlines.
Ravin wrote that she was “grabbed forcefully” by a flight attendant while bringing a carry-on bag with a breast pump on board her flight from LAX. According to Ravin, the female employee “ripped” the bag out of her hand and the captain had to get involved.
Quick Note from our podcast hiatus: We really enjoyed ‘Our Decay’ last night. They are building some great momentum now.
Stand out moments-
Hades (Greg Gremann is fantastic!) & Zelena scenes
Regina & Zelena scenes
Great Rumbelle dramatic setup. No more secrets.
More Oz was fun, but it looked like they filmed on The Great Movie Ride set at Walt Disney World
Prediction: Even though Henry is following the ‘Author’ rules, he will be tempted to break the rules to write someone out of trouble (Cruella so Emma can resolve what made her the Dark Swan?)
Snow’s determination to defeat Hades and go back (Will Zelena stop her from defeating him?)
It was cool to see The Blue Fairy, too
So many great moments
That final scene just ended – so great. It was an Empire Strikes Back moment.
Where were the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion?
Who taught Dorothy to be a badass?
Did Regina magically make her hat appear when it really got misty in the forest?
Did Zelena take off the red top of the Baby bottle in the forest and through it off camera?
Yes, I remembered the ‘witchy-poo’ bike from the episode ‘Kansas’
