‘Once Upon a Time’ bosses talk guest stars, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ episode and David and Mary Margaret’s epic love

In a new interview, Once Upon a Time creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis discuss the various guest stars we’ll see this season, when Belle will return, what we can expect from the upcoming Alice in Wonderland episode, and just what’s up with David and Mary Margaret’s ailing romance. OUAT – Motifs in Literature. Digging deeper into a story.

Since this podcast and blog began we have tried to not only discuss and great writing, acting, visuals and music of Once Upon a Time, but also the themes and motifs within the stories themselves. I find it fascinating to uncover the motifs that writers place in the story to give you clues to the larger arc of the story. From Hitchcock, George Lucas, Spielberg and many more directors will place objects, use color schemes, etc to sometimes give you clues to the story ahead. Here is a very good post to give you some ideas on motifs in literature:

“a red light means stop
an arrow means “this way”
a light bulb means “new idea”
the numerals 10, put together, mean ten
a heart means love
a wink means “just kidding”

See how you really do recognize symbols in everyday life?

When you read literature, you should keep your mind open to possible symbols that may not be so obvious at first. For example, if you read a scene that involves a skunk lurking in the background, you might wonder what that animal could signify.”

OUAT – Jennifer Morrison on Michigan Avenue Magazine

Jennifer Morrison has been on a lot magazines lately, and most recently in the March 2012 issue of Michigan Avenue Magazine. In this interview, Jennifer discuses a part of her personal life and her college days in Chicago.

ONCE UPON A TIME’S JENNIFER MORRISON TELLS HER STORY

Jennifer Morrison has been tasked with saving a magical town in Maine. But with a little luck, she just might end up saving network drama, too.

One fall TV season not too long ago, there were not one but two new shows based on fairy tales unleashed on the public. The people did not rejoice. Fairy-tale drama is a tough sell to the masses who are accustomed to watching youngsters screeching at British judges and trophy wives clawing at each other’s fake eyelashes.

OUAT – Testing Audio Boo for OUAT Paley Center event audio reports

Hi everyone. For our adventures tomorrow heading down to the Paley Center event, we will try something new.

On my iphone, I have an app called Audio Boo. It allows me to record a 5 minute audio clip, then when I post it to the OUAT Fan Podcast Audio Boo page on their site, it will also post it to the OUAT Fan Podcast Twitter account (@ouatpodcast).

If you are following @ouatpodcast on Twitter, you will be able to access the audio clips (and listen, if you have an internet connection) I post there. The initial test tomorrow will be the clips I will post there during our journey to and experiencing the Paley Center Once Upon a Time event.

Now, it has been my experience that I will need a fast 3G connection or Wi-Fi to upload the Audio Boo files to Twitter, so tomorrow you may see some post here and there on Twitter throughout the afternoon or maybe they will all show up when we get home later in the afternoon. I just want to set expectations on how this might work.

I do love trying new things, but there are headaches with these experiments, so be aware of that, and please be patient.

Dave from Michigan mentioned a great way to use the Audio Boo setup for those wanting to send in feedback to the podcast, but we will discuss this later. Once experiment at a time. 🙂
