We are very used to the incredible Jennifer Morrison filling the role of Emma Swan on ABC TV’s ‘Once Upon a Time’.
However, the role almost went to someone who was more used to warring in space, instead of breaking curses. According to Hypeable, Katie Sackhoff (Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica) talked about reading for the role of Emma in ‘Once Upon a Time’;
There were two that I loved. One was Once Upon A Time, and one was Longmire. I went in five times on Once Upon A Time. I took one meeting on Longmire, and I met Greer Shephard and I said, “I want this job because of that woman. I love this woman.” So, I walked away from Once Upon A Time and focused on Longmire. John Pyper-Ferguson (Kurt Flynn – Greg Mendel’s Dad) portrays Tex in TNT’s new series called “The Last Ship”. Michael Bay is Executive Producer, it also stars Rhona Mitra (The Lara Croft real life model from 1997-1998). The series is set to premiere in Summer 2014 on TNT.

Eric Lange (who played Stuart Radzinsky on Lost) has been cast as young King Leopold.
The 1997 film “The Full Monty” starring Robert Carlyle as Gaz is now a stage production. Kenny Doughty is playing the role of Gaz for the stage version. In an interview he was asked if he had ever met Robert Carlyle, and he said, ”No, but my friend Josh Dallas stars with him in Once Upon A Time, and relays messages. Rob’s wished me good luck.”

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced a range of presenters for the 2012 Primetime Creative Arts Emmys on Thursday, including “Web Therapy” star Lisa Kudrow, “Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks and “NCIS: Los Angeles” star Chris O’Donnell.
Similar to past presentations, the awards will be presented by pairings of showrunners and the talent on their programs, meaning that Kudrow will present with “Web Therapy” executive producer Dan Bucatinsky, Hendricks will be paired with “Mad Men” honcho Matthew Weiner, and O’Donnell will be matched with “NCIS: LA” boss Shane Brennan.
