Sceencaps and bog posts about the hit, ABC TV show Once Upon a Time

OUAT – Storybrooke has the Island on Lost problems

So, sure we have seen groups of unnamed people in Storybrooke before;

Any day many people are walking around on the Main Street of Storybrooke,

Miner’s Day festivities,

Sheriff debate,

Town Hall Meeting,

Henry’s school, etc, but I noticed more unnamed people closely in front of Regina’s house:

Sure, these could be just extras, but when you keep hearing that the people in Storybrooke are “Fairy Tale characters ripped from their world and sent here,” and “No one can get in (except for Henry, Emma and August (Pinocchio),” then you must come to the hard reality that all these people must be some kind of Fairy Tale character, unless the Fairy Tale characters joined the unsuspecting townsfolk of pre-curse Storybrooke.

Okay, let’s step away from that for a second and go through my constant chuckle at Lost. A plane crash with survivors. You get to know these survivors, but then as you watch the show there are these background people carrying sticks, water, etc. Who are these people? Watch a few episodes of Lost show the survivors and you’ll see that instead of just a small number of survivors, there are many other people wandering around in the background. I called them “stick carriers”.

To me, Storybrooke has the same thing now.

We have even named a few. I give you Cap Man;

again

this guy even takes change from the pay phone in Granny’s diner.

What kind of background people have you noticed in Once Upon a Time? How do you account for all the extra people?

OUAT – Aurora and The Spinning Wheel spotted

In “Broken,” next to the bed that Sleeping Beauty was sleeping on, we see a spinning wheel:

Even though Fairy Tales get twisted in Once Upon a Time, this actually matches up with one of the versions of Sleeping Beauty (and the Disney film):

Now, you don’t suppose Rumpelstiltskin had anything to do with that spinning wheel, do you? 🙂

OUAT – My Storybrooke Wraith Problem

Ok, so if this was just a CGI “slip up” or “the Talisman was hidden behind the folds of the Wraith’s snappy purple number” then fine, but based on what I saw, we have a problem.

So, here is the Wraith coming out of the hold in Fairy Tale Land, which for a moment you may have thought there were lots of Wraiths, but for the time being, let’s go with there was only one Wraith.

Wraith in FTL with a Talisman

Phillip knocks off Talisman. My guess is that the Wraith continues to follow its original target (Regina) until another is sensed. So, for now the Wraith is like a tourist in New York without a GPS or map.

Phillip is being marked. Wraith GPS now has a new destination. “Calculating”

Mr. Gold with his pretty Talisman. How many of these are floating around?

Storybrooke forest Wraith (with Talisman). “Wraith – Regina – fetch”

Wraith is Sheriff’s Office – No Talisman.

Next shot, no Talisman.

Next shot. No Talisman.

Next shot – wait for it – No Talisman.

Wraith taking one to the face with a “Snow Torch” (patent pending). Still no Talisman.

Wraith in the new Mayoral meeting area we haven’t seen before. Did the Wraith Dry Cleaners lose the Talisman. Just checking.

Wraith finding Phillip. We are okay with no Talisman, because Phillip knocked it off.

Mayoral Meeting room Wraith. No Talisman.

Just for fun: Do Wraith’s that are passing through a Magic Hat develop Poltergeist ghost arms to grab cute blonde victims to pull through? Just wondering.

Well, that’s all I got. So, if someone can help me figure out where the Talisman on the Storybrooke Wraith went, I can sleep at night. You all rock. #BigLove2U 🙂

OUAT – Lana Parrilla, Vancouver, Steveston, Burgers, Fish & Chips and More

You wouldn’t want to meet this steely-eyed villainess in a dark alley. But in the light of day, you’re more likely to find actress Lana Parrilla chowing down on a decked-out burger than plotting world domination

Parrilla plays the Evil Queen (alter ego Mayor Regina Mills) on ABC’s hit show Once Upon a Time, which weaves classic fairytale archetypes with a modern-day plotline. As a TV veteran, Parrilla has some big-name credits under her belt, including Lost, NYPD Blue, Six Feet Under and 24. But she can’t get enough of shooting Once Upon a Time on location in picturesque Steveston, a 20-minute drive from downtown Vancouver. “Steveston is the cutest little town,” she says.

When she’s not corseted into a full gothic get-up, Parrilla goes for upscale European designers and heads to sleek boutiques on shopping trips around Vancouver. High-fashion Misch in South Granville is a favourite haunt, as well as Gravitypope in Kitsilano. When she’s downtown, Parrilla hits up Leone or Holt Renfrew.
