When we watched that devastating heart crushing scene in The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter, we wondered how can Regina be possible of that kind of evil. Not only was she crushing Graham’s heart, she ripped it out as well.

In this episode The Stable Boy, we see where Regina learned her tricks. She witnessed her mother rip and crush the heart of the man she loved.

Maybe after this, we can definitely say that evil is not born but imitated.

OUAT – Mama Cora’s Magic compared to Regina’s

In “Stable Boy,” we see Cora wielding magic that is very reminiscent of what we’ve seen Regina exhibit before. Cora can use magic to push, restrain and lift objects (including people);

As we mentioned in our First Thoughts podcast episode on “Stable Boy,” Regina used the same type of magic when she battled Maleficent in episode 2 “The Thing You Lost Most”;

However, the blue aura that was around Cora’s magic looked more like the magic used by the Dark One in “Desperate Souls”;

but when the Dark One’s magic restrained people, is wasn’t blue;

So, perhaps this shows the skill or learning by Regina, or a different type of magic. For instance, so Regina lifting spears in episode 2;

also, see the forcefield that Maleficent creates to protect her Dark Unicorn;

For you Star Wars fans, Cora’s magic restraining blue aura reminded me of this scene in Attack of the Clones (Just sayin’);

Howdy folks – We are having a logo contest (ends 5/1)

I need a logo (in a digital format. I am a PC guy, btw) for the podcast (Not podcast Art. We’ve got great podcast art by @obisgirl) that I can put on T-Shirts, etc.

I would like a logo that is different from the official logo style of the show, so we don’t have to worry about ABC lawyers, etc. Not copyright infringements (pictures from the show, etc).

You can include a cartoon, etc. Be creative. The logo should reflect the podcast and the show.

Size 3 inches high by 4 inches wide. It will need to have the ability to be made smaller or larger.

Email it to feedback@onceuponatimepodcast.com with “logo contest” in the subject.

Mixlr Issues and the future of Live Shows (That’s Latin for UStream). Not a Joke.

Look, I am a fan of an April Fool’s Joke, but this ain’t it. Promise.

If you have joined us over the last few weeks after the Mixlr revamp of their site and widget for the live shows, it has been difficult. I’m sorry about it. I know it’s not my fault, but I’m still sorry about it.

Going forward, I’d like to propose 2 things;

1. Assist Mixlr in resolving their issues. Please take some time and email support@mixlr.com with information on what issues you experienced during the live show on 3/31. I would include;

What did you use to connect to Mixlr (iphone, Computer, Operating System (Windows, Apple), Twitter login, Email login, Facebook login, etc)?
If you had trouble even logging in, let them know the specifics about that, please.
If you experienced loss of sound, give specifics of that (was it once in awhile, stuttering sound, loss until you had to log in again, etc)
If you experienced locking up, freezing, etc.

Please give them all the information you can. We do want to help them resolve the issues we are having. I know it may be alot of work, but the more information we can give them, the better they can resolve the issues.

IN THE MEANTIME —

As of 4/7 we will be trying UStream (Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ustream).
Cons;

They do play ads. I don’t choose the ads.

Pros;

It’s been around a long time, and I believe many of the issues have been ironed out.
The chat has moderators.
There is a Viewing app for almost all Smartphones: http://www.ustream.tv/everywhere
The sound is good.
The versatility for (very good) “surprises” that could occur during a live show, so I’m happy about that.

The same:
You need to setup a free login account to chat. I would ask that you would set one up today, please (This will save time and confusion on live show day). We will take a hard look at the built in chat and see if it meets our needs.
