OUAT – Storybrooke Daily Mirror Screencap Analysis Pt. 2

The top header of the newspaper:

Comet Marley Makes Debut Appearance – Is it referring to Bob Marley that was played in Lost episode Exodus Part 2? Is the comet another heavenly announcement that something incredible is happening in Storybrooke? Is it referring to Jacob Marley in the Christmas Carol story? Is it just tying into Mary Margaret’s Lesson plan on the chalkboard? See below:

Destinations – Interesting title, don’t you think? It looks to be a church of some kind.

Lyme Disease – A New Understanding: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyme_disease

Capsaicin: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capsaicin According to Wikipedia, “It is an irritant for mammals, including humans, and produces a sensation of burning in any tissue with which it comes into contact.” and “The seeds of Capsicum plants are predominantly dispersed by birds.”

Do you notice the issue date of the Storybrooke Daily Mirror is not printed (or shown).

Ditto for the issue that the editor/Magic Mirror held up when he visited Regina at her house/Emma read at Granny’s diner.

I guess printing the same date every day would seem peculiar after a while…… even to people under a spell…. well, then again, why take a chance. Time is frozen there, or was frozen, Hey, I wonder…? do you think?…. nah!
You know,…. you don’t see ANY vehicles NEWER than 1983 either. Not even from outside of Storybrooke. Do you suppose that Emma and Henry are the only outsiders that know Storybrooke exists?”or” the only two allowed in…?
And no, I’ve not noticed a church in the town yet….. have any of you??

No, I have not noticed a church, either. No Walkmans, No Thrifty (or Thrifty Ice Cream) either. It is a very strange place. No happy endings, and no fun things to do or meaningful places to contemplate life. I guess you could sit in Granny’s diner and talk to Ruby about life and have her sing songs. Hey, not a bad idea. 🙂
