OUAT – August W. Booth is Pinocchio

Since we met him, we wondered who August W. Booth is, and what role he could play in the lives of the residences of Storybrooke.

In the Stranger we learned about who he is, what character he was in fairytale land.

August W. Booth is Pinocchio.

How did he become Pinocchio from a Wooden puppet to a real boy?. The Blue fairy heard Geppetto’s wish after washing up on shore from the storm to save him to make him real again.

Geppetto put Pinocchio in the magic wardrobe, to save him. Even though, the Blue fairy told Geppetto that Snow must go with baby Emma.

If you think about it, Geppetto did exactly the same thing, Snow did with Emma they were both protecting their children.

August was supposed to stay with Emma in the real world, raise her to believe about the curse so when her 28th birthday came, he could bring her to Storybrooke and break the curse.

Unfortunately, Pinocchio only being seven years old, he gave into the temptations of the other children in the orphanage and decided to leave, he couldn’t take care of a baby so he left her.

He was supposed to protect her, teach her how to believe in the curse to save everyone.

What are your thoughts on how Emma and August’s relationship would have been like, if August (Pinocchio) stayed with Emma and was a brother figure in her life.

I got the impression from what Jennifer Morrison (Emma) said at the Paleyfest (March) or maybe in a different interview, that writers were going to give Emma a new love interest (August?)
