OUAT- The 7 Dwarfs

Looking back to episode ‘Dreamy’ we learned how the seven Dwarfs got their names.

However,’Dreamy’ was Grumpy’s real name before, well he became Grumpy.

They received their axe, and it picked their names for them. Seen in pictures below.

and we can not forget the 8th, Stealthy.

When Snow White broke the spell ( in episode Heart of Darkness) after kissing Charming and remembering who he was after forgetting everything by drinking the potion Rumplestiltskin gave her.

Charming was captured by his father’s men and brought back to the castle.

Team 7, stood by Snow and helped her get Charming back.

Team 7, is what they are referred too. The band of brothers that are, loving, loyal and they always have Snow’s back.

Family, doesn’t always have to be blood related.

We Love Team 7.

Grumpy: Lee Arenberg, Bashful: Mig Macario, Dopey: Jeffery Kaiser,

Doc: David -Paul Grove, Happy: Michael Coleman

Sneezy: Gabe Kouth, Sleepy: Faustino Di Bauda

OUAT – The Seven Dwarves and their names

Did you know?

In 1934, the names first selected were Wheezy, Jumpy, Baldy, Grumpy, Doc, Happy and Sleepy. Four of those names were retained. Dozens of other names were suggested, with a few being Hickey, Sniffy, Stuffy, Burpy, Tubby, Shorty and Dizzy.

Also, there was extra Dwarf named Deafy.

Deafy is a happy sort of fellow – he always tries to make clever remarks, but he misinterprets other people’s attitudes toward him. He feels, lots of times, that they are saying something about him, or that they have made some remarks, which they haven’t at all – he takes exception to the most ridiculous things. Throughout the picture Deafy and Grumpy  are always clashing. Deafy will pick up one word of the conversation in the early part, and whereas the conversation topic might have changed completely, he still sticks to the first thing that he heard, and in this way we hope to get some comical situations out of Deafy.
—Story draft for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, made in early 1936.

OUAT – Dopey spotted in Storybrooke

In “Dreamy,” we see the magical moment when our beloved dwarves get their axes that reveal their names, and one was Dopey:

That was cool enough to see, but then during the Miner’s Day festivities, I saw someone similar manning the ring toss booth:

So, I tweeted Jeffrey Kaiser (Remember, we had lunch with him and his awesome family), and asked if he was at the ring toss booth, and he responded:

It is so cool to begin to see more of our Fairy Tale friends inhabiting Storybrooke. 🙂

OUAT – Reaching New Heights in Itunes and Lunch with Dopey

This was an incredible day. I woke up to see our Once Upon a Time Fan Podcast in the Top 10 of TV and Film Audio podcasts. I mean that was stellar. I realize that placement in Itunes shifts up and down like the stock market, but it was there. I wished that it would get there and worked very hard every day on it, and it got there.

Amazing.

A little later on that day from the graciousness of Jeffrey Kaiser (Dopey from Once Upon a Time), we got to meet his awesome family and have lunch with them. They were the nicest people ever. We talked about Vancouver, Hydrogen engines, Jeffrey’s part in the TV show Pysch (Nathan), oh and some about Once Upon a Time. I thanked him again for his thoughtful Holiday Wish on Mig Macario’s amazing voicemail to the podcast, and explained how much our podcast listeners love him and the show.

I will never forget that lunch. So, very cool.

We’ll talk more about it on the podcast, but for now here is a very special picture:

Jeffrey (@JeffreyEKaiser) giving his Dopey face with Colleen. So, so cool. I’d like to thank Jeffrey and his family for their kindness to share lunch with us. You all are so great. I hope we get a chance to meet up again soon. 🙂

Then I came home to see our podcast in the #1 position of New and Noteworthy of TV and Film Audio podcasts:

I don’t know what will happen next, but this has been a day I will remember for a long, long time.
