There’s definitely a chill in the air on the Once Upon a Time set. It’s hard to keep warm as a cold winter rain falls on a picturesque town square an hour from Vancouver that’s doubling for Storybrooke, Maine. But no weather, even in Canada, can match the cold contempt with which Storybrooke’s mayor, Regina (Lana Parrilla), treats constituent Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) in today’s scene at a town fair.

Jennifer Morrison has been on a lot magazines lately, and most recently in the March 2012 issue of Michigan Avenue Magazine. In this interview, Jennifer discuses a part of her personal life and her college days in Chicago.

Jennifer Morrison has been tasked with saving a magical town in Maine. But with a little luck, she just might end up saving network drama, too.

One fall TV season not too long ago, there were not one but two new shows based on fairy tales unleashed on the public. The people did not rejoice. Fairy-tale drama is a tough sell to the masses who are accustomed to watching youngsters screeching at British judges and trophy wives clawing at each other’s fake eyelashes.

ONCE UPON A TIME, A SHOW BECAME A SURPRISE HIT

Jennifer Morrison was caught between two worlds – literally – on this brisk mid-winter’s evening. She was leaving an ABC-sponsored party in Pasadena, Calif., dressed in a resplendent red ballroom dress, only to change into civilian duds and jump onto a three-hour flight up the coast to Vancouver and back to work on the set of Once Upon a Time.

Once Upon a Time – an enchanting fantasy drama in which Morrison plays hard-luck, hardscrabble single mother Emma Swan – is the 2011-2012 TV season’s most-watched and, judging from the groundswell of popular opinion on Twitter and in online chat forums, one of the most beloved, obsessively followed, and fondly discussed new drama series since Lost in 2004.

OUAT – An update on the Storybrooke tree

In a previous blog post (Where Have We Seen the Storybrooke Tree – http://www.onceuponatimepodcast.com/where-have-we-seen-the-storybrooke-tree-before/), we showed you screen caps of times we’ve seen the tree in the town seal and David’s dining room.

We haven’t really seen the real tree just pictures. But in episode 13, we might have actually seen the real tree.

When August brought Emma to the well for their “date”, we see a tree in the background that looks very similar to the Storybrooke tree. See for yourself

Is this the Storybrooke tree we’ve seen in the past on the town seal? Could it be the Tree of Life? Is there a connection to the tree being next to the legendary well?
