Storybrooke’s Drinking Age: What is it? Is there one?

In episode ‘Skin Deep’  Mary, Ashley and Ruby and went out on a ‘Girls Night’

In Price of Gold, we first met Ashley (Cinderella ‘Ella’) In Granny’s as a pregnant maid. Emma asked how old she was Ashley was.Ashley is 19 years old  at the time.

We do not know what the drinking age is in Storybooke. But this is something to consider;

We are all aware, that Storybrooke is in a ‘time warp’ modern day things like cell phones are slowly showing up without warning. We do not know what year this is in, but lets assume that Storybrooke is set in the 1980’s.

In the 1980’s in many parts of the USA, the drinking age was 19 years of age. Why was it changed later on? this is because why:

Too many drunk driving accidents and deaths involving teens. MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving)  was responsible for the big push. the federal government got behind the law with funds for the highway in all of the states that agreed to increase their drinking age.

Do you think that this is promoting under age drinking? or does the reason above make sense?

David Has Some Valentines: Which will he choose and for whom?

David Nolan has been seen at the Pharmacy on Storybrooke main picking out his valentine cards.

He choose two.

One says ‘I Woof You’ with a cartoon dog.

The other has a hand drawn picture of a Prince placing a crown on his princess with the castle in the background and it says “you are..”

Which Valentine do you think he will choose? Do you think one is for Kathryn the other for Mary? or they are just for Mary and he cant decide?

OUAT – Seriously, Emma Swan really likes Fruit Loops

From the OUAT Fan Podcast Deputy Desk:

In the beginning of episode 7:15am. Emma is seen eating a bowl of cereal in the kitchen as Mary is getting ready to meet David at Granny’s.

Emma was specifically eating ‘Froot Loops’; she was  eating them the morning after when she was sitting at the table in Mary’s apartment at 7:45.

In Episode of The Fruit Of The Poisonous Tree. Sitting in the diner with Mary, she again was eating Froot Loops.

Is this something out of Emma’s childhood past?

In Storybrooke, David is apparently married to Kathryn but, he is also meeting secretly with Mary.

Do you think he is doing the right thing by following his heart (and feelings for Mary Margaret)?

Do you think he should have told Kathryn the truth when they were discussing the pregnancy test?

Should he be stringing Mary Margaret or Kathryn along while he’s trying to figure out what/who he wants?

Do you think he is handling the situation in the right way? How would you like to see it handled?

We would like to hear your thoughts on this Love Triangle.

OUAT – See the Location of David and Mary Margaret’s Kiss

Listener Ken in Steveston sent us a great way to see exactly where David and Mary Margaret kissed at the end of “7:15AM”:

To remind you of the location again;

It was to the right of Granny’s. Notice the green sign (which is blue in real life) and the stairs.

it is directly across the street from the Sotorybrooke bakery:

and there is that green dumpster there:

So, if you type in this address: 3711 Moncton Street Richmond BC into Google Maps: http://maps.google.com/, and you will get a view of the place they kissed with the ability to zoom in and move the view around to see other places, as well.

Ken added: “PS I was on the other side of the street watching when they were filming the scene where David took the coffee he bought at Granny’s out to the car for Katherine in last night’s episode.

One more thing …… “The Kiss’ happened right next to Granny’s Cafe. If you go to Google maps and type in 3711 Moncton Street Richmond BC and go to street view you can see the spot right behind the blue flowerbed boat.

The real lawyers’ sign had been replaced by the “Storybrooke Real Estate” sign. The lawyers office is upstairs to Granny’s building. You can see the ‘Law Office’ signage on the pillar leading to the stairs behind David’s left shoulder in the swirling kiss shot.”
