Jennifer Morrison in the March 2012 issue of Allure Magazine

In past interviews, Jennifer Morrison has made no secret about the fact that she has been “gown envy” especially with her co-star Ginnifer Goodwin who gets to wear gowns and dresses on Once Upon A Time. As Emma Swan, she frequently is seen in Storybrooke with her signature leather jacket, tight fitting jeans and leather boots – not for long.

In the March 2012 issue of Allure Magazine, Jennifer felt what it was like to be a princess. She was chosen as Allure’s Face for March 2012. http://www.allure.com/allure-magazine/toc/201203/index_20120214

Maybe if the curse never happened, this would have been Princess Emma in Fairy Tale Land! We can only hope!

Storybrooke’s Drinking Age: What is it? Is there one?

In episode ‘Skin Deep’  Mary, Ashley and Ruby and went out on a ‘Girls Night’

In Price of Gold, we first met Ashley (Cinderella ‘Ella’) In Granny’s as a pregnant maid. Emma asked how old she was Ashley was.Ashley is 19 years old  at the time.

We do not know what the drinking age is in Storybooke. But this is something to consider;

We are all aware, that Storybrooke is in a ‘time warp’ modern day things like cell phones are slowly showing up without warning. We do not know what year this is in, but lets assume that Storybrooke is set in the 1980’s.

In the 1980’s in many parts of the USA, the drinking age was 19 years of age. Why was it changed later on? this is because why:

Too many drunk driving accidents and deaths involving teens. MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving)  was responsible for the big push. the federal government got behind the law with funds for the highway in all of the states that agreed to increase their drinking age.

Do you think that this is promoting under age drinking? or does the reason above make sense?

What year do you think Storybrooke is in?

Do you think think Storybrooke should have a drinking Law?

We discussed this on a recent podcast episode. Listen here

OUAT – Mysterious Stranger has Mysterious Tools

When we first met the mystery stranger in episode 9 (True North) and subsequently in episode 10 (7:15) when Emma had a conversation with him, we’ve learned very few things about him. In that conversation with Emma, we learn that the stranger is a writer and carries around a typewriter in box.

In episode 11 (Fruit of the Poisonous Tree), we see that he has the box with Henry’s book and uses a mysterious set of tools which he used to break open the box.

What are these tools for? Does he have a purpose for them? Why does a writer need these tools? Does he have an ulterior motive? Or does he just want to be prepared just in case the need arises?

OUAT – We know the name of the bar where Sean proposed to Ashley

In a previous blog post, we shared with you the street map of Moncton Street in Vancouver. We knew some of these locations since they are frequently used in scenes, while others remain unknown.

In this most recent episode, another new location is revealed  – The Rabbit Hole. The Rabbit Hole served as a bar where Mary Margaret, Ruby and Ashley had their girls night out.

In the screen cap above, notice the encircled logo, it is the same as one of the pictures that were part of the password protected post (Note: To gain access to the post, the password is announced in this podcast episode) that contained new filming locations in Steveston.
