OUAT – The Brother’s Grimm Tale of Snow White

A Small look into the Grimm’s story of Snow White..

Once upon a time as a queen sits sewing at her window, she pricks her finger on her needle and three drops of blood fall on the snow that had fallen on her ebony window frame. As she looks at the blood on the snow, she says to herself, “Oh, how I wish that I had a daughter that had skin white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as ebony”. Soon after that, the queen gives birth to a baby girl who has skin white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as ebony. They name her Princess Snow White. As soon as the child is born, the queen dies.

On the Set: Behind the Magic of ABC’s Once Upon a Time

There’s definitely a chill in the air on the Once Upon a Time set. It’s hard to keep warm as a cold winter rain falls on a picturesque town square an hour from Vancouver that’s doubling for Storybrooke, Maine. But no weather, even in Canada, can match the cold contempt with which Storybrooke’s mayor, Regina (Lana Parrilla), treats constituent Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) in today’s scene at a town fair.

OUAT – Those Magical Plants in Once Upon a Time

Now, whether these are magical plants, or that Evil Queen’s and Guardians of Lake Gnostos just have power over them is still debatable. Here is a list of plants that have been controlled by some kind of power:

In Episode 2 (The Thing You Love Most), the Evil Queen threatens “those with the darkest souls” with this creepy vine (thorny vine ala Sleeping Beauty?)

In Episode 9 (True North), the Evil Queen uses a smaller version (possibly) of these vines to grab Hansel and Gretal

In Episode 13 (What Happened to Frederick), the Guardian of Lake Gnostos commands an underwater vine to grab onto Prince Charming and pull him farther underwater. It is interesting to note that once PC killed the Guardian, the vine let him go

I wonder what other magical plants we will see as the awesome Once Upon a Time story continues to unfolds. What do you think?

Where Have We Seen The Storybrooke Tree Before?

The first time we saw the Storybrooke Tree was on the Sheriff’s cruiser.

The second time we saw it was when Graham gave Emma her Badge.

Most recently we saw it appear in the Nolan’s house in ‘Skin Deep’ in their dinning room.

Does does this tree, relate back to the the Magic Tree, we learned about in the Pilot?.

The same Magic tree that baby Emma was put into, the same tree Rumplesiltskin’s jail was made out of?

What could the Storybrooke Tree mean?
