Sorry, OUAT fans but I’m going to use one blog post to get geeky. Here are my proven ways to get your podcast in the Top 10 of Itunes. Now, I’m not selling a book, but I am open to be interviewed about it (Just sayin’).
Now, how to get your podcast in the Itunes Top 10 (This is not any type of guarantee for everyone. However, this worked for me).
10. Podcast. Just do it. You can read, listen, go to expos (paying lots of money to listen), etc, but until you get into the fray, you will never learn. Failures are just paths you know don’t work for you.
9. Find a niche subject that you are passionate about. Notice I said “Niche” subject. I used to podcast about “Whatever I wanted to talk about,” and though it was great for me, there weren’t thousands of people that waited with baited breath to hear every word out of my mouth. Heck, my wife doesn’t want to hear everything I want to talk about.
Like I said, find a niche subject. Not “all TV shows,” but pick a TV show to focus completely on. Not “all movies,” but pick one movie or saga/trilogy and focus on that.
This was an incredible day. I woke up to see our Once Upon a Time Fan Podcast in the Top 10 of TV and Film Audio podcasts. I mean that was stellar. I realize that placement in Itunes shifts up and down like the stock market, but it was there. I wished that it would get there and worked very hard every day on it, and it got there.
Amazing.
A little later on that day from the graciousness of Jeffrey Kaiser (Dopey from Once Upon a Time), we got to meet his awesome family and have lunch with them. They were the nicest people ever. We talked about Vancouver, Hydrogen engines, Jeffrey’s part in the TV show Pysch (Nathan), oh and some about Once Upon a Time. I thanked him again for his thoughtful Holiday Wish on Mig Macario’s amazing voicemail to the podcast, and explained how much our podcast listeners love him and the show.
I will never forget that lunch. So, very cool.

Well, it’s been bugging me. Not just that it has newspapers on the windows.
…or boards nailed to the windows. I mean was there a storm around just the Library (or maybe in the Library? Hmmm?).
What bugs me is the Mysterious Sweeper Woman.
Do you see her there? Behind and a bit to the right of Emma. First off, she was rude. She didn’t even say “Hi” to Emma or Henry. I mean, Henry is Regina’s adopted son and all. I mean, just for two seconds, stop your sweeping and say, “Good Morning,” “Operation Cobra Rocks,” or “Nice Jacket, Emma. That’s a good color on you,” I mean, something.
Some may say, “Jeff, let it go. Leave the poor woman that’s sweeping the sidewalk alone. It probably makes Regina happy that there are clean sidewalks in front of a closed down Library… Wait Jeff, I think I see what you’re saying…”. See, I think it bears a closer look. I mean, is this just a concerned citizen, or someone connected to the Library itself? Maybe the mysterious writer of Henry’s (and maybe other) book?
Okay, I may be giving this sweeper person too hard of a time. Maybe she is somehow related to Cinderella (the only other sweeper we’ve seen)? Maybe she is Belle? Belle’s accountant? Maybe she came of the door there (See on the left)? Bottom line, I’m not a sweeper hater. Sweeping rocks! Maybe I have forgotten the thousands of people that carried sticks or walked around in the background of Lost, and want everyone to be important to the story.
I raise a glass to the mysterious Sweeper Woman. Even though you are a bit rude to our friends, we still got love for you! Sweep on, baby! Sweep on!
Hi all! I have added a new Cast bio section to the website. It’s not meant to be an exhaustive point of information on the actor/actress, but it is meant to have Twitter info and birthday, so you can connect and wish them Happy Birthday, etc. There are links to imdb and causes, if they are involved in any. Just a quick snapshot of the actors in OUAT, but for the actors I’ve put up so far a HUGE surprise.
