OUAT – The Strange Man in the Cap at Granny’s Diner.

So, there was this man in a cap at the counter at Granny’s in “Fruit of the Poisonous Tree”:

Oh, and Mary Margaret was there, too. 😉

Anyway, so this strange man in the cap was at the counter eating or drinking something (I’m not sure what), and he was talking to the person next to him. I mean, that’s cool, right? Sure.

Then, I saw something – a payphone. Yup, a payphone. You remember kids, that was before iphones, Blackberries, pagers and smoke signals. Okay, I’m kidding about the smoke signals. Anyway, the capped man did something old school, he checked the change slot for change left by the last person using the payphone. Check it out:

I don’t think he found anything, he just got out of there:

I feel kinda bad for this guy. I mean if you gotta stoop to checking payphone change slots for change, life must be pretty tough for ya. I wonder if maybe he could get a second job sweeping sidewalks.

Hey, maybe he could buy a broom and start sweeping next to the mysterious Sweeper Woman outisde the boarded up Library and maybe hit her up for a date. Go for it, Man in the Cap! You bought could find love and keep Storybrooke’s sidewalks cleaner at the same time.

The Mysterious Mr. K – Who is he?

From the OUAT Fan Podcast Deputy Desk:

In the episode True North, we were introduced to an over-worked town records clerk by the name of Mr. Krzyszkowski or Mr. K

Does he have a fairy tale land counterpart? Or does he only exist in Storybrooke and is just a very hardworking government employee?

Disney’s Aladdin: Snake of Agrabah in Once Upon A Time

From the OUAT Fan Podcast Deputy Desk:

In Disney’s Aladdin, Jafar tries to use Genie’s powers to take over Agrabah, first wishing to become the sultan, and then the most powerful sorcerer in the world. After battling Aladdin with his questionable sense of humor, Jafar transforms himself into a giant cobra in an attempt to kill Aladdin, but just as Jafar is squeezing him to death, Aladdin tricks Jafar into using his third and final wish to become an all-powerful genie himself and the strongest entity in the Disney universe. In Western culture, genies are almost always portrayed as being confined to small oil lamps until they are released to do a human’s bidding; Jafar is therefore trapped by his own selfish wish for power.

In Fruit Of The Poisonous Tree we see Regina’s Father bringing the box to the Genie so he can bring it to Regina and this would ‘set her free’

This was the Viper of Agrabah the most venomous snake of all the lands

Did you realize this was a Disney reference from Aladdin?.

Aladdin tricked Jafar into using his third wish. Just like what Leopold had told Genie as he was slowly dying. “You should have used your wish”

Just like Jafar in Aladdin he was trapped by his own selfish wish for power.

As Genie used his wish to always be with Queen Regina for always. therefore for his own selfish wish for love, he was trapped in the mirror, wishes always come with a price.

OUAT – Regina’s FTL Castle vs Henry’s New Playground

From the OUAT Fan Podcast Deputy Desk:

During the town council meeting, Regina reveals that she is constructing a playground inspired by a drawing from Henry’s book. When we see the finished playground, it was similar to Regina’s castle in Fairy Tale Land.

Here is a side by side picture

Did Mr. Gold find another access point (like the sunken mine) to the Evil Queen’s castle, and that’s why Regina built the “playground” in the middle of the forest? Is there a doorway in the playground somewhere that leads down to Regina’s castle? Or another heart vault room? Or another secret underground room that the strange skeleton keys open.
